Free Printable Winter Solstice Tarot Card Spread
Make the most of the longest night of the year and go inward! This winter solstice tarot spread is a great way to understand yourself better and make meaningful changes for next year.

The Winter Solstice is generally on December 21st or 22nd, depending on the year, and it’s the shortest day of the year. It is both the longest night and the signifier of the return of the light.
Every day until the spring equinox, the days will get a few extra minutes of daylight. This is now the start of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of summer in the Southern Hemisphere!
Using tarot cards is a great way to connect with your inner self and your guides to understand yourself better and make crucial changes for your personal growth.
I regularly use these Winter Solstice Journal Prompts to reflect on the year and set intentions for the new year, but I wanted something a little more to develop my spiritual practice.

How to Use This Oracle Spread
I highly recommend taking some time to ground yourself and meditate before you begin your reading. Take a few minutes to clear your mind and focus on your breathing.
Once you feel calm and grounded, set an intention. Your goal is to reflect on the past year, celebrate the good, and let go of whatever needs to leave. Ask for cards that align with the topics on the tarot spread.
Shuffle your tarot or oracle cards until they feel right and lay the cards face down on each tile. If one jumps out, consider this a sign it’s the right one.
Read them in order to work through the reflection process. Study the card based on the topic. How does the card fit the prompt?
I recommend taking a few notes to remember the key messages that come up. This can be a really helpful page to remember what you want to embrace and leave behind in the coming months.
