Free Printable Spring Equinox Tarot Spread {Ostara}
Winter is finally over and it is officially spring! Make the most of this powerful time to refresh your energy and make a fresh start. Get this free printable Spring Equinox tarot spread to understand what you need to leave behind and where you should focus throughout the spring season!

The Spring Equinox is the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, generally occurring on March 20th to 21st.
The name “equinox” refers to the equal length of day and night, which happens only twice per year: at the vernal equinox and the autumn equinox that heralds the start of fall.
This special day is all about celebrating the return of the light and beginning the journey to the summer solstice!
I always look forward to the Spring Equinox because it puts the cold winter months to bed and promises so much growth, light, and change.

Traditionally, the beginning of Spring is associated with several key themes:
- The return of the light
- Fertility
- Decluttering and organizing
- Airing out the house
- Awakening and new life (baby plants, animals, etc.)
- Planting season
- Melting snow
This Spring tarot spread invites you to slow down, tap into the growing energy we’re all feeling, and get clear on what to do next.
Just like the melting snow, we’re invited to let anything we no longer need fall to the wayside. Get really specific about what you want in your life and eliminate anything that no longer serves you!

Like my Winter Solstice tarot spread, this one also requires you to pull 5 tarot cards. They focus on the specific themes that align with the season to promote your personal growth and success.
- Renewal: This card invites you to be born anew. How can you embrace the energy of new life and growth? What old patterns and weights do you need to shed to move into this brighter, more joyful energy?
- Balance: Just like the day and night are balanced, your energy should be in perfect balance, too. Reflect on the different areas of your life and identify any that need to be adjusted. If you’re working too much or too focused on something, tilt the scales back in your favor and set some gentle boundaries.
- Bloom: This is the most obvious and exciting joy of spring. You’ve been planting seeds throughout the past year. Which ones are soon to blossom?
- Fertility: The new season holds powerful energy to create anything new. This is the perfect time to focus on growing something from the ground up. Where should you focus your effort to make the most of the generative energy of the spring equinox?
- Release: As soon as the sun returns, many of us feel compelled to do some spring cleaning. We want to open the windows, fill the house with fresh air, and declutter. Which area of your life needs a refresh? Where are you being limited by clutter or stagnant energy?

How to Use My Tarot Card Spreads
Take a few minutes to ground yourself and meditate. It’s easy to feel a little flighty and all over the place this time of year. It can help to do some gentle stretching, take a deep breath, or get outside to go for a restorative walk before you begin.
Bring yourself back to the ground and set an intention to understand who you are and what you need to know in this precise moment.
Get your favorite tarot deck (or oracle deck) and shuffle it thoroughly.
When you feel called to do so, select 5 cards to place in the tarot spread positions.
Read the cards in order as a response to the specific themes and questions.
Take notes about the cards you’ve pulled and the messages you’ve received on the note-catching tool.
At this time or before my reading, I often like to review my notes from the Winter Solstice tarot spread. This helps me understand where I was, what I’ve already shed, and where I wanted to put my energy just a few months ago.
