I’m proof that good things come when you follow your gut
After leaving my teaching career midyear in 2022, I thought I blew up my life. In fact, I joke that this is the post-apocalyptic version of my life. I never thought this could ever happen and leaving teaching was never on my list.
But the burnout was real. Teaching required me to drain my energy reserves every day. Although I loved it, I was in a constant energy deficit. It affected my mood, my relationships, and my health, yet I could barely cut the cord.
After leaving, I went into a free fall. I had to figure out how to make enough money to survive without knowing how to do that. There was no back-up plan or Plan B. I just had to make something happen.
I focused on healing my relationship with my inner self, which helped me understand what I really wanted. I kept committing to myself, even when it felt terrifying and even when it seemed like it would never work out.
Eventually, that led to me developing a thriving writing business, a growing blog, and a deep, deep love for slow living.
I attribute my growth and success to my seasonal slow living approach, which focuses on living intentionally and developing a deeper connection with yourself and nature.
Now, I’m ready to share what I’ve learned and continue to unfold in front of others on a similar journey. This website is a testament to this journey and a home for my podcast, Slow Living for Every Season.
I’m also creating resources, workshops, and services to support people who are just starting their journey or feel stuck along the way.
If you’re feeling called to connect, please be sure to reach out! I’d love to hear your story and send some love your way. I’m glad you’re here and can’t wait to get to know you!
